In October 2009 I did a post about how important it is to preserve the memories of your child’s birthday parties by using the photos to create scrapbooks, either digital or normal paper scrapbooking.
I also mentioned the client that I have; (at that stage she was busy making 5 scrapbook albums as gifts for her sisters). The past few weeks I have again scanned and printed quite a lot of photos for her for her new scrapbooking albums that she is busy with. This woman has a lot of scrapbook papers in her house and I can imagine if you do not really have a good system or method to store your scrapbook papers, that it can become total chaos in your workroom.
If you always wanted to start a scrapbook album for your child but was hesitant because you did not know where to start, I have free gift for you today that will tell you everything you always wanted to know about scrapbook papers; how to store your papers, the different kinds of paper you can use, colour matching, how to use patterned paper to make frames, what to do with all those paper scraps that litter your table after you have done a page, how to tear paper correctly… and so much more.
One tip that I found absolutely helpful was the correct way to print on vellum to prevent the ink from smudging! Throughout the years I have often used vellum when I made invitation cards for weddings and other events. Quite a few times I had to throw away the printed vellum sheets because the ink smudged. After reading this book and tip, I will now know better how to work with and handle vellum in future projects.
So what are you waiting for… to download this e-book to your computer, right-click on the link and choose the “save link as”, then save the pdf. file in your download folder.
The second gift is also an e-book about scrapbooking, but this one focuses on your baby’s first year. It actually is a step by step guide to start a scrapbook while you are still pregnant. Imagine the beautiful page you can make with photos of your pregnant belly!
Lots of tips and ideas what kind of photos to take throughout your pregnancy, when you prepare the nursery, your stay in hospital, baby’s first time at home, all the first events in your baby’s first year up to his or her 1st birthday party! Each section has ideas to scrapbook these wonderful times as well. (Please follow the above-mentioned method to download and save this pdf.file to your computer as well).
With a little imagination, the tips and ideas found in these two e-books can just as easily be adapted to make invitation and thank you cards as well as table decorations for your child’s birthday party.
I hope you will find a lot of inspiration in these free gifts and don’t blame me if your household starts falling apart because you are so busy preserving the memories of your children’s birthday parties…
But don’t be so busy that you forget to visit here again as I also still have a lot of tips and tricks up my sleeve about kids’ birthday parties.
As always, have fun when planning your kid’s birthday party!

This is a brilliant idea. It is always a great idea to keep photos of your child so you can show them later what they were like. If you can keep it going up until they are older you can have a lovely present for them later on in life.
I always make a little scrap book entry from events that i have for my kids.
How much do you charge to scan photo’s.
I have about 500 that need to be scanned and I don’t have the patience. LOL
Would love to get into computer scrapbooking.
Renee
Hi Renee
Thanks for your comment. If you have that many photos and would really like to do digital scrapbooking, , it would be better to buy a good quality scanner and scan the photos yourself rather than pay somebody to do it for you.
